BNP allies decide to boycott talks-- EC remains hopeful, re-invites BNP for dialogue
The Election Commission's (EC) efforts towards a consensus on registration of the political parties before the ninth parliamentary polls have suffered a setback with the BNP-led four-party alliance deciding against joining talks with it. BNP did not take part in the dialogue yesterday while its allies including Jamaat-e-Islami are set to follow suit today.
