10 people injured in hill collapse at Sunamganj
At least 10 Bangladeshi coal collectors were injured as a hill along the border with India collapsed in Sunamganj district's Tahirpur upazila on Tuesday night.The loosened earth of the hill, which is located in India and known as Kalo Pahar, also destroyed some 100 homes and covered around 100 acres of land in Chanpur village.

Lightning kills one in Sunamganj
BSS, Sunamganj One person was killed and another injured seriously b y lightning at Konatchhara of Tahirpur upazila today. The dead was Awal Mia, 35, son of late Ahmed Ali of Konatchhara in Badaghat union. Local people said the incident took place at about 12 noon while they were working in the field.
